Google Meet Dial-In: 617-675-4444 PIN: 301 463 603 6721# ANNOUNCEMENTS CALL TO WORSHIP Out of the depths, I cry to you, O Lord!

Lord, hear my voice! Let your ears be attentive, to the voice of my supplications! If you, O Lord, Should mark inequities, Lord, who could stand? But there is forgiveness with you, that you may be worshipped. I wait for the lord; my soul waits, in the Lord’s word, I hope; my soul waits for the Lord more than those who watch for the morning, more than those who watch for the morning. O Israel, hope in the Lord! For with the Lord, there is steadfast love, with the Lord is plenteous redemption. And the Lord will redeem Israel, from all inequities.

ANNOUNCEMENTS

CALL TO WORSHIP The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He maketh me lie down in green pastures:

he leadeth me beside the still waters. he restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies:

thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth oven. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

OPENING HYMN: “Great is Thy Faithfulness” #140 UMH

OPENING PRAYER Oh, holy and merciful God, we confess that we have not always taken upon ourselves the yoke of obedience, nor been willing to seek and to do your perfect will. We have not loved you with all our heart and mind and soul and strength, neither have we loved you with all our heart and mind and soul and strength, neither have we loved our neighbors as ourselves. You have called us in the need of our sisters and brothers, and we have passed unheeding on our way. in the pride of our hearts and our unwillingness to repent, we have turned away from the cross of Christ, and have grieved your Holy Spirit. CALL TO WORSHIP Bless the Lord, O my Soul!

and all that is within me, bless God’s holy name!

Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all God’s benefits. The Lord forgives all our iniquity and heals all our diseases.

The Lord redeems our lives from the pit, and crowns us with steadfast love and mercy. God satisfies us with good as long as we live so that our youth is renewed like the eagle’s.

OPENING HYMN: “Guide me, O Thou Great Jehovah” #127 UMH

OPENING PRAYER We confess to you, all-knowing God, what we are. we are not the people we like others to think we are. we are afraid to admit, even to ourselves, what lies in the depths of our souls. But we cannot hide our true selves from you. You know us as we are, and yet you love us. Help us not to shrink from self-knowledge. Teach us to respect ourselves for your sake. Give us the courage to put our trust in your guiding power. Raise us out from the paralysis of guilt into the freedom and energy of forgiven people. And for those who, through long habit, find forgiveness hard to accept, we ask you to break their bondage and set them free; Through Jesus Christ, our Redeemer. Amen. CHILDREN’S MESSAGE

GREAT THANKSGIVING

The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise.

...And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven

we praise your name and join their unending hymn:

Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,

Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.

Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.

...And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ,

we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving

as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ's offering for us,

as we proclaim the mystery of faith.

Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.

...Through your Son Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in your holy Church,

all honor and glory is yours, almighty Father (God ), now and forever. Amen.
