Bazaar Total and Many Thanks
The 2025 Homespun Holiday Bazaar, sponsored by the United Women in Faith, held in November netted over $4,500! Next month our group will meet and disburse the majority of those funds to local, regional and national organizations.
We also recognize that none of it would have been possible without the support of our congregation, from helping out in various ways with the event to supporting it through your purchases - thank you so much!

Human Relations Day
Sunday, January 18, 2026
We are all family. When we walk past our neighbor who is hiding in plain sight, we limit the gifts and graces that our sisters and brothers in Christ bring to the table. We limit the experiences, the voices and the beloved community that take place through mutual sharing of gifts. With a special offering celebrating Human Relations Day, we join with United Methodists around the world, remembering that the size of the table of divine love is unlimited.
Across the United Methodist connection, we come together to help bridge the gap between church and community by participating in an offering set aside for Human Relations Day. For more than half a century, United Methodists have observed this churchwide special Sunday in recognition of the message Jesus demonstrated during his life: all of God’s children are important.
One of the wonderful aspects of The United Methodist Church is that we can do so much more together than we ever could do on our own. On Human Relations Day, we join other UMC congregations in a special offering to support neighborhood ministries through Community Developers, community advocacy through United Methodist Voluntary Services and work with at-risk youth through the Youth Offender
Rehabilitation Programs.
In recognizing Human Relations Day, we are called to make an impact in communities where people struggle because they don’t have the tools or resources to reach their God-given potential. Our gifts are part of building beloved community through faith-based volunteer programs, community developers and programs that work with at-risk teens.
Sunday, January 18 is Human Relations Day in the United Methodist Church. You can respond to the needs of others with your special gift. Offering envelopes will be available on the table as you enter the sanctuary and at the Welcome Center. You may also use electronic giving or your personal check sent and Made out to the church designating an amount for “Human Relations Day" in the Memo Line Offerings can be given any time in January or February.

CALLING FOR COFFEE HOUR VOLUNTEERS
Did you know HUMC has committees whose members volunteer to host coffee hour once or twice a month? Most of these volunteers are on several committees where they are repeatedly hosting to provide goodies each Sunday.
We are opening this ministry up to Individuals or families who would be willing to occasionally be hosts or hostesses.
It’s simply making coffee, lemonade, bringing homemade or store bought items, and cleaning up afterwards.
A sign-up sheet is located on the counter in the gathering space, outside the front office
Where you can pick a Sunday of your choosing.
Would you consider joining in this time of fellowship?
Please get in touch with Sue Gagne with any questions.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
CALL TO WORSHIP
I waited patiently for the Lord,
Who inclined to me and heard my cry.
The lord drew me up from the desolate pit,
Out of the miry bog,
Set my feet upon a rock,
Making my steps secure.
The lord put a new song in my mouth,
A song of praise to our God.
Many will see and be in awe,
And put their trust in the Lord.
I have told the glad news of deliverance
In the great congregation;
Lo, I have not restrained my lips,
As you know, O Lord.
I have not hid your saving help within my heart, I have spoken of your faithfulness and your salvation;
I have not concealed your steadfast love and faithfulness From the great congregation.
O Lord, do not withhold your mercy from me,
Let your steadfast love and faithfulness ever preserve me!
OPENING HYMN: ”We Understand it Better By and By” #525 UMH
OPENING PRAYER:
O God, you made of one blood all nations that dwell on the face of the whole earth, and sent your blessed Son to preach peace to them that are afar off and to them that are near.
Grant that all people everywhere may seek after you and find you.
Bring the nations in your fold, pour out your Spirit on all flesh, and hasten your kingdom;
Through the same Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
