PEACE WITH JUSTICE SUNDAY

One of six churchwide Special Sundays with offerings of The United Methodist Church, Peace with Justice Sunday will be observed on Sunday, May 26.  Offerings received for this ministry enables The United Methodist Church to have a voice in advocating for peace and justice through a broad spectrum of global programs. They benefit peace with justice ministries through the General Board of Church and Society and in our own conference.

Offering envelopes will be on the table at the entrance to the sanctuary, next to the offering plate just inside the sanctuary and at the Welcome Center for your gift to support programs of peace in Jesus’ name.  Donations may be given on Sunday, May 26 or anytime in the weeks ahead.

Spirit of the living God, visit us again on this day of Pentecost.

Come, Holy Spirit.

Like a rushing wind that sweeps away all barriers,

Come, Holy Spirit.

Like tongues oof fire that set our hearts aflame,

Come, Holy Spirit.

With speech that unites the Babel of our tongues,

Come, Holy Spirit.

With love that overlaps the boundaries of race and nation,

Come, Holy Spirit.

with power from above to make our weakness strong,

Come, Holy Spirit. Amen

you infuse us with your Spirit, urging us to vision and dream.
