She's Back—and so is the Bazaar!

Granny’s up in the attic hunting for treasures to sell at her tables—and you should be too! It’s time to start gathering those clean, gently used household items that she’ll proudly display and sell at this year’s Bazaar.

Important Reminder from Granny:

She’s tough but fair—only clean, usable household goods will be accepted. No appliances, please! Those should be donated to the Men’s Yard Sale instead.

Room 19 is now open for donations.

This year’s Annual Bazaar, hosted by the United Women in Faith and supported by the whole church, will be held November 7 & 8. In addition to all your favorite traditions—like the bake sale, pecans and fruitcakes, and the soup and chili sale—this year’s event will also feature an expanded vendor fair in place of the usual HUWF crafts.

Questions? Contact Bazaar Co-Chairs: Rose Caldwell or Sue Gagne.

Ongoing Fundraiser Little Lamb Fundraiser:

Please consider donating your empty bottles and cans to the Bottle & Can Redemption Center at 4255 Clark Street in Hamburg. Thank you!

Join Us in Reading Through the Bible in 2025

Would you consider reading through the Bible in 2025? Together as a church community, we can embark on this yearlong journey of faith and discovery. A Bible in a Year reading plan is available outside the church office and will also be published monthly in the newsletter. You can also access it online here: Bible in a year reading plan

Dedicating about 20 minutes a day to Scripture is a wonderful way to grow closer to God. Many who have done this discipline before share how it reveals surprising connections between different parts of the Bible and provides a deeper understanding of God’s love and guidance.

We hope you’ll join us on this meaningful journey of faith and exploration!

ANNOUNCEMENTS

CALL TO WORSHIP

Come to Christ, that living stone, Rejected by world, but in God’s sight chose and precious.

We have responded to Christ’s call,

And seek to be built into a spiritual house,

A living reminder of God’s presence on Earth.

Once were were no people, but now we are God’s people,

Called out of the darkness into God’s marvelous light.

Therefore we sing with the Church in all ages:

Blessed be your name, O God, our Redeemer.

By your mercy we have been born anew to a living hope

Through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the Dead.

Praise Band:

I've been redeemed

Purify my heart

Opening Prayer

Almighty and Merciful God,

We know that when we offend another, we offend you.

We are aware that we have often allowed the shadow of hate to cloud our souls, hiding the light from our unseeking eyes.

We have said unpleasant and hurtful things to our brothers and sisters when they failed to live up to our expectations.

Grant that we might find that spark of love that ever burns within us, The love that you have shown to us even when we failed you.

Fan the embers of that love until it roars again in flames of love, peace and reconciliation.

Forgive us our sins and help us to forgive those who have sinned against us. Lead us into new life through our Son Jesus Christ, who died for the sins of all. Amen.
