She's Back—and so is the Bazaar!
Granny’s up in the attic hunting for treasures to sell at her tables—and you should be too! It’s time to start gathering those clean, gently used household items that she’ll proudly display and sell at this year’s Bazaar.
Important Reminder from Granny:
She’s tough but fair—only clean, usable household goods will be accepted.
No appliances, please!
Room 19 is now open for donations.
This year’s Annual Bazaar, hosted by the United Women in Faith and supported by the whole church, will be held November 7 & 8. In addition to all your favorite traditions—like the bake sale, pecans and fruitcakes, and the soup and chili sale—this year’s event will also feature an expanded vendor fair in place of the usual HUWF crafts.
Questions? Contact Bazaar Co-Chairs: Rose Caldwell or Sue Gagne.
Ongoing Fundraiser Little Lamb Fundraiser:
Please consider donating your empty bottles and cans to the Bottle & Can Redemption Center at 4255 Clark Street in Hamburg. Thank you!

Join Us in Reading Through the Bible in 2025
Would you consider reading through the Bible in 2025? Together as a church community, we can embark on this yearlong journey of faith and discovery. A Bible in a Year reading plan is available outside the church office and will also be published monthly in the newsletter. You can also access it online here: Bible in a year reading plan
Dedicating about 20 minutes a day to Scripture is a wonderful way to grow closer to God. Many who have done this discipline before share how it reveals surprising connections between different parts of the Bible and provides a deeper understanding of God’s love and guidance.
We hope you’ll join us on this meaningful journey of faith and exploration!
You can also Read and Listen to Today's Reading Online (FREE!)

Spring is here! Tai Chi is back in person in the fellowship Hall or Pavillion
weather permitting

It’s simply making coffee, lemonade, bringing homemade or store bought items, and cleaning up afterwards.

ANNOUNCEMENTS
CALL TO WORSHIP
May those who love your salvation say continually, “Great is the Lord!”
Yea, our heart is glad in God, because we trust in God’s holy name.
Let us make a joyful noise to God with songs of praise!
We praise you, O God; We acknowledge you to be the Lord.
OPENING HYMN: :”How Firm a Foundation” #529 UMH
Opening Prayer
Almighty God, you sustained your people with manna in the wilderness and with bread and fish by the sea of Gaililee.
Sustain us today, not only with physical food, but also with spiritual food, by the bread of life who is our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen
Scripture: Hebrews 11: 1-3, 8-16 CEB, Luke 12: 32-40 NRSV Read by: John Meader
Sermon: “Where is your Heart?” Rev. Dr. David Nicol
RESPONSIVE PRAYER :
We often act like we are the only children in your family God.
Our arrogance has caused divisions where none should be.
We forget that through Christ we have been adopted
into the family you have chosen for your own.
And we forget others were adopted from other ethnic groups,
and other denominations of the Christian Church.
We have not loved them as brothers and sisters should be loved, nor have we loved the unity for which Christ prayed.
Remind us again that our adoption
has become a reality only by the precious blood
of your Son, Jesus Christ.
Never let us forget that we are members of your family,
not by inheritance, but by loving and grace-filled adoption.
All pray in silence
Brothers and sisters, Jesus’ blood has paid the cost of your sin. Through Jesus you have become God’s children in God’s family.
Now live up to the family name that you have been given,
By loving God and one another with all your hearts. Amen.
