Call to Worship

Trust in the Lord and do Good.

May the Lord give strength to the people!

O taste and see that the Lord is good!

God is our refuge and our strength.

HYMN “Love Divine, All Loves Excelling” #384 UMH

Opening Prayer

O God, our rainbow, our dove, our promised land:

In the resurrection of your Son you have brought us into your ark.

Protect us from storms, and ferry us to your welcoming shore;

Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Alleluia

HYMN “Trust and Obey” #467 UMH

Please send a heart on this video to show your brothers and sisters in Christ we are thinking of them.

God of Love, we thank you

for all with which you have blessed us

even to this day:

for the gift of joys in the days of health and strength

and for the gifts of your abiding presence and promise

in the days of pain and grief.

We praise you for home and friends,

And for our baptism and place in your Church

With all who have faithfully lived and died.

Above all else we thank you for Jesus,

Who knew our griefs,

Who died our death and rose for our sake

Through Whom, with Whom, in Whom,

Empowered by the Holy Spirit,

we pray Lord of Love.

SPECIAL MUSIC "How Great Thou Art" arranged by Kevin McChesney

Performed by Becky Gard, Bells

Let us pray for the Church and for the World.

Grant, Almighty God,

that all who confess your name shall be united in your truth,

live together in your love, and reveal your glory in the world.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer

Guide the people of this land, and of all the nations,

In the ways of justice and peace;

That we may honor one another and serve the common good.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer

Give us all a reverence of the earth as your own creation,

that we may use its resources rightly

in the service of others and to your honor and glory

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer

Bless all whose lives are closely linked with ours,

And grant that we may serve Christ in them,

And love one another as Christ loves us.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer

Comfort and heal all those who suffer in body, mind, or spirit;

Give them courage and hope in their troubles,

And bring them the joy of your salvation.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer

We commend to your mercy all who have died,

That your will for them may be fulfilled;

And we pray that we may share with all your saints

In your eternal kingdom.

Lord in your mercy, hear our prayer. Silent Prayer

We offer these prayers through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen
