O God, you made of one blood all nations AND BY A STAR IN THE EAST Revealed to all him whose name is Emmanuel ENABLE US WHO KNOW YOUR PRESENCE WITH US so to proclaim his unsearchable riches, THAT ALL MAY COME TO HIS LIGHT and bow before the brightness of his rising WHO LIVES AND REIGNS WITH YOU AND THE HOLY SPIRIT, NOW AND FOREVER. OPENING PRAYER O Lord God, your chosen dwelling is the heart of the lowly.
We give you thanks that you revealed yourself in the holy child Jesus,
thereby sanctifying all childhood in him.
Make us humble in faith and love, that we may know the joy of the gospel
hidden from the wise and the prudent and revealed unto babes.
This we ask in the name of the One, who, wearing our mortal flesh,
grew in wisdom and in favor with God and all people,

PRAYER OF THANKSGIVING
All things come from you, O God,
and with gratitude, we return to you what is yours.
You created all that is, and with love formed us in your image.
When our love failed, your love remained steadfast.
You gave your only son Jesus Christ to be our Savior.
All that we are, and all that we have, is a trust from you.
And so, in gratitude for all your gifts, we offer you ourselves,
and all that we have, in union with Christ’s offering for us.
By your Holy Spirit make us one with Christ, one with each other
and one in ministry to all the world;
through Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
