Worship Sundays at 10 am
Our little pantry at Sparks of Hope is nearly empty, and our shelves are bare. Members of our recovery community rely on your generosity to see them through the hard times. Please drop off nonperishable groceries when Sparks is open or just leave them inside the pantry.
Thanks for Baking!!!!
Thanks to all of you who donated baked goods and candy for the bazaar last
weekend. We had a good amount and a wonderful variety. You’re truly a blessing
in enabling our “Women of Faith” (the new name for the United Methodist
Women) to support missions that help women and children.
Bazaar Handcrafts Thank You! A very special “thank you” to everyone who knit, crocheted and made handcrafted items for the bazaar! We greatly appreciate your talent, time and your beautiful additions to our bazaar!
Blessings, Anne Brown and Pat Adema

CALL TO WORSHIP In the midst of the congregation I will praise you. Rejoice in the Lord, O you righteous, and give thanks to God’s holy name! I will extol you, my God and King, and bless your name for ever and ever. Great is the Lord, and greatly to be praised, and God’s greatness is unsearchable.
OPENING HYMN: “Battle Hymn of the Republic” #717 UMH
OPENING PRAYER We cannot come before God unless we are first honest with ourselves about who we are, about the mistakes we make,
and about how well or how poorly we care for others.
In this spirit, let us offer our prayers to God. Our Father forgive us for thinking small thoughts of you and for ignoring your immensity and greatness. Lord Jesus, forgive us when we forget that you rule the nations and our small lives. Holy spirit, we offend you in minimizing your
power and squandering your gifts. We confess that our blindness to your glory, O triune God, has resulted in shallow confession, tepid conviction, and only mild repentance,
Have mercy upon us. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

BAPTISMAL COVENANT I PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE THE PEACE TITHES & OFFERINGS tithes.hamburgumc.org/Give DOXOLOGY “Praise God from Whom all Blessings Flow” #94 UMH
The Lord be with you. And also with you. Lift up your hearts. We lift them up to the Lord. Let us give thanks to the Lord our God. It is right to give our thanks and praise.
...And so, with your people on earth and all the company of heaven
we praise your name and join their unending hymn:
Holy, holy, holy Lord, God of power and might,
Heaven and earth are full of your glory. Hosanna in the highest.
Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord. Hosanna in the highest.
...And so, in remembrance of these your mighty acts in Jesus Christ,
we offer ourselves in praise and thanksgiving
as a holy and living sacrifice, in union with Christ's offering for us,
as we proclaim the mystery of faith.
Christ has died; Christ is risen; Christ will come again.
...Through your Son Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit in your holy Church,
all honor and glory is yours, almighty Father (God ), now and for ever. Amen.
